Allan Zeman

Founder, Lan Kwai Fong Group

Famously taking Chinese citizenship in 2008, former Canadian entrepreneur Allan Zeman has made Hong Kong his home for almost 50 years. Investing in the garment trade (Colby Group) and then property (Lan Kwai Fong), he has exported his LKF nightlife concept to China, with a themed district in Chengdu. The former Chairman of Ocean Park has advised the Government on a number of committees. Zeman also owns Andara Resort & Villas in his beloved Phuket.

Chairman, China Construction Bank

After serving as executive director and executive vice president of China Construction Bank Corporation, Zhang Gengsheng was designated as chairman of China Construction Bank (Asia) in January. A senior economist, Zhang obtained his bachelor’s degree in infrastructure finance and credit from Liaoning.

Chairman, Joy City Property

Aeronautical and aerospace manufacturing engineer Zhou Zheng has pursued a career closer to the ground. He chairs both mall developer Joy City Property and COFCO Property under China foodstuff giant COFCO Group, of which he is Vice-President. Under Zhou’s watchful eye, the Hong Kong- and Shenzhen-listed firms have merged to form a sole platform on the mainland exchange. Joy City plans to operate 100 shopping malls within the next decade.

Chairman, CITIC Group

Since March this year, Zhu Hexin has stepped into the top role of chairman at CITIC Group in addition to being an executive director there. A graduate of the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics with a degree in engineering and a veteran of the financial industry, the senior economist’s previous positions include vice-presidencies of Bank of Communication, Bank of China and the People’s Bank of China as well as being a former vice governor of Sichuan Province.
